Justice Brews is committed to social justice and accountability.
We support adults and young people impacted by the criminal justice system, incarceration, and navigating their journeys of going home and re-entry into the community.
Recent data indicates that in 2020, 19% of NYS releasees returned to custody within three years. NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) and NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS)
The journey home is the hardest at first and Justice Brews aims to help those not only go home but stay home. We all need a 2nd chance, but with that comes the need for opportunity. Our coffee is packaged and prepared by those impacted by the criminal justice system.
Meet our CEO:
Patrick ‘Paddy Dukes’ Schelle is the CEO and Founder of Justice Brews. Paddy is a social worker in New York and currently pursuing a PhD in Social Welfare. What drives his passion for Justice Brews is both his personal experiences with the criminal justice system and his 20 years of social work experience in the tri-state area. Paddy founded Justice Brews in 2023. Today his vision remains the same to support those coming home through opportunities, networking, community building, creativity, mental health supports, and employment support services. Justice Brews is not just a job opportunity for people coming home it’s a foundation for a new beginning and a step towards a more steady journey to staying at home and in the community.
